Sterling Estates Schedules Second Round of COVID Vaccinations for its Atlanta Metro Residents and Healthcare Workers

Cobb and Fayette Communities Will Be First Senior Living Residences to Complete Dosing Requirements

Residents, Healthcare Workers and Staff to Receive Second COVID Inoculations Starting January 25, 2021

Marietta GA (January 19, 2021) – Senior living community owner and operator Sterling Estates has received shipments of the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine to schedule and complete the second round of doses for residents, healthcare workers and staff in all three of its Georgia properties. Sterling Estates administered the first round of vaccinations on December 24, 2020; its medical staff, working with Transitional Care Physicians of America (TCPA) and Guardian Pharmacy will administer the second round starting January 25, 2021 at Sterling Estates of East Cobb (4220 Lower Roswell Road, Marietta, Georgia 30068), Sterling Estates of West Cobb (3165 Dallas Highway, Marietta, Georgia 30064) and Azalea Estates of Fayetteville (105 Autumn Glen Circle, Fayetteville, Georgia 30215). Sterling Estates applied for and was designated a tier one distribution center for COVID-19 vaccinations, and will be the first senior living communities in Metro Atlanta to complete the inoculation of its residents and staff.

“We are pleased with the acceptance rate by our residents and staff, with close to 95% of our residents agreeing to take the vaccine,” said Sterling Estates Vice President of Operations and Partner Nathan Madigan. “Through our first round of doses, we haven’t had any residents or staff report material adverse side effects. Our senior residents are proud to be among the leaders for the nation in taking on this virus through the vaccines.”

Hart Williford, a resident at Sterling Estates of West Cobb, expressed excitement over getting his second shot. ‘We look forward to receiving our second dose of the vaccine and getting on with living. We got a lot to do.”
